SHREE JANA MANGALA STOTRA

The recitation of the Jana Mangala Stotra brings bliss to the recitor and his family. The recitation absolves the recitor from his sins and purifies him. The recitor easily attains the four ends of the worldly life : Dharma - the religious merit, Artha - the aquisition of wealth, Kama - the fulfilment of wishes and desires, and Moksha - the ultimate release from the cycle of birth and death and nearness to Lord Swaminarayan.

Evil spirits and diabolic powers will fly away on hearing this recitation. The recitator will be free from the hatred of his enemies. His life will be lessed with all happiness by Lord Swaminarayan.

Shatanand Muni, one of the most dedicated saints of Shree Harikrishna Maharaj bows down 108 times while addressing Him with different Names. Each such Name expresses one of the Godlyqualities of Him. When one pays resect to Him by reciting these Names, we feel His Prescence within us. Mind engrossed in Him, thus, is automatically purified. Hence, with a healty and strong mind one can bravely face the realities of life and by His favour, one is sure to reach his goal of life eternal in Akshardham.

Before we start this recitation, Sadguru Shatanand Swami guides us to recall before our inner-self, the Perefect Image of Lord Swaminarayan, Who is the giver of intellectual, spiritual power. To His Bhaktas, He is the Wish-fulfilling tree, beneath which one gets what one desires. His powers and virtues are enumerated in one hundred and eight epithets, which if one recites with devout mind one has his desires fulfilled. He will be saved from sufferings and sorrows. Thus ends the Jana Mangala Stotra. The number of holy names - 108 is symbolic.
1 means - You are worshipping God as being only one as Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan.
0 means - When you recite these Names, your sins, evil thoughts are reduced to zero.
8 means - You get eight types of miraculous powers to fulfill all your noble desires.
