During the week, there are many activities planned such as Raas Utsav, Bhajan Night, Ladies Night, Fun Day etc.
We are especially pleased to inform that Bhuj Mahant Swami Sadguru Dharmanandan Dasji will grace this Katha.

Holi (Festival of Colours) - Friday 21/03/2008.
Swaminarayan Temple Bolton will be celebrating the festival of Holi which heralds the start of Spring. All the other festivals follow after Holi. The legend behind Holi is a demon king named Hiranyakshipu and his sister Holika. He had a son named Prahladji who was a ardent devotee of Vishnu and is commonly quoted as an example perfect devotee, as whilst his mother Kayadhu was carrying Prahlad in her womb, Naradji used to preach daily about the devotion one should have for God. Thus, the baby could never forget the preaching received by it in the pre-natal stage. |

Swaminarayan Temple Bolton will be celebrating the festival of Narnarayan Dev Jayanti which traditionally marks the auspicious birth of Lord Narnarayan Dev, Twins Lord Nar and Lord Narayan were born as 16 year old men, at Narayan Ghaat along the banks of the Sabarmati River, a very sarced and holy river in Ahmedabad (India). |
